Civica, a global GovTech champion supporting the needs of citizens and those that serve them every day, announces the appointment of Gerry O'Reilly as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective 14th May 2025.

Gerry succeeds Martin Franks, who has served as Group CFO since 2022 and played a pivotal role in achieving three key objectives: refinancing the business, driving its successful sale to Blackstone and restructuring Civica’s financial framework to align with SaaS economics.

With over 25 years of experience as a CFO in private equity-backed businesses, Gerry brings a proven track record of driving growth and strategic transformation. Most recently, as CFO of AutoTrader, he played a pivotal role in tripling the Group’s revenue, leading to its successful $4 billion exit from Thoma Bravo.

Commenting on the appointment, Civica CEO Lee Perkins said, "Gerry is an exceptional CFO and a fantastic addition to Civica’s leadership team. He joins us at an exciting time for the business and will play a key role in steering our global financial and commercial operations while strengthening our strategic and corporate development initiatives.

“On behalf of the Board, I would also like to thank Martin for his outstanding contributions as CFO and wish him every success in the future."

Gerry O’Reilly, incoming Chief Financial Officer, said, "I’m thrilled to be joining Civica as the organisation continues its transformation into becoming a global GovTech champion. I look forward to working with Lee and the entire team to drive the strategy forward and deliver future success."

Martin Franks will remain with Civica for a transition period to ensure a seamless handover.
