Fathom is launching a new educational platform to help accountants grow as business advisors, sharing tips and strategies from industry experts.

Advisable provides access to the education and insights that power the world’s leading advisory teams. The platform features advisors in practice, sharing how they’re executing business advisory to help their clients.

Andrew Jordon, Fathom’s Director of Business Development(EMEA), said that he’d spoken with many firms seeking examples on how to design, price and market advisory services to their clients.

“Our goal with Advisable is to help connect accountants with others who are on the same advisory journey,” said Andrew.

“By building a platform and community to share real-life experiences, examples and advice, we hope to give accountants the knowledge, and the confidence, to be effective advisors for their clients.”

Advisable launches with over 200 short videos from more than 30 pioneering accountants and bookkeepers in the UK, US and APAC regions. With over 12 hours of content on a huge range of topics, it’s an opportunity to hear firsthand from advisory leaders.

“Currently, Advisable features input from advisors at large firms such as Kreston Reeves and BDO, as well as boutique practices like Generate Accounting and Insightful Partners,” said Andrew.

Advisable focuses on six key areas that firm scan find challenging: education, technology, process, service, marketing and pricing.

Andrew Webb, who is leading the content production for Advisable, said that each of the contributors highlights how they’ve addressed a specific problem or issue in one of these focus areas.

“Often our contributors have tackled the same problem using different methods or approaches – there’s not one single magic answer,” said Andrew.

“Clients' needs and wants are all very different and we don’t believe there is a silver bullet. We believe this approach gives you a broader understanding of how you might address an issue.”

The content library will expand over time, with new interviews and comprehensive guides featuring expert commentary to be released soon.
